CEO Alex Yazbeck Goes Green for a Cause – CEO Dare to Cure 2025

CEO Alex Yazbeck Goes Green for a Cause – CEO Dare to Cure 2025

Last Friday, 24 October 2025, our CEO Alex Yazbeck took a bold step out of his comfort zone at Randwick Racecourse, participating in the CEO Dare to Cure challenge in support of the Children’s Cancer Institute.

He didn’t just take part, he went green! Alex dyed his hair bright green, all in the name of raising awareness and funds for children battling cancer.

But he didn’t stop there. For fun (and to show just how fearless he can be), Alex also took part in the notorious snake bath, showing that sometimes making a difference means embracing the unusual… and the slightly slimy!

Why Alex Has Taken on the Dare

Cancer is a disease that touches so many lives.

As Alex explains:

“We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, now imagine hearing the words ‘your child has cancer’. This year more than 1,000 families in Australia will hear those words…with nearly three children and adolescents dying every week. I believe this is three too many.”

It’s this belief that motivated Alex to step up and raise funds for medical research, helping brave children face treatment and, ultimately, the fight for their lives.

Every dollar raised counts. Just $5,000 can help conduct minimal residual disease testing for two children with leukaemia, giving doctors crucial insight to detect their risk of relapse and improve treatment outcomes.

As Alex says:

“Kids fighting cancer don’t need miracles, they need medical research.”
